VCR is on the corner lot of a row of old houses (now most of them have turned commercial). They don’t have their own parking, but you can usually park on the street in front, or further down the road in front of some flats. Even though they’re right behind the police headquarters in town, they don’t seem to be bothered with people parking on non-designated lots on the street. Don’t take my word for it though, if you don’t want to risk it, find a designated lot further down.
We really like the atmosphere at VCR. It can come off quite hipster, but at least the mix of clientele (many tourists and westerners, but also many local families) keeps it a little more real.
The staff are friendly enough (they can be a little quiet and reserved, but never came off as rude). There is enough space for customers, as they also have a rather large first floor.
The food and drinks are pretty excellent. I always enjoy my meals there. Decent amounts of salmon on my sandwich and good quality bread. The coffee is nice and dark, just like their chocolate.
All in all, I don’t think anyone would be let down at VCR. Give it a try!
